By joining this campaign, you’re helping Matter of Trust turn unwanted human hair extensions into 'hair mats' that are used to clean up oil spills. It’s a simple yet powerful way to make a big impact!

When we donate used hair extensions, we’re directly supporting the Clean Wave Campaign’s efforts to protect our oceans and sea life. These hair mats are a safe, non-hazardous solution to prevent oil spills from harming our beaches and coves each year. It’s an easy way for all of us to do our part in keeping our planet clean and sustainable!

We believe in creating hair for the long game, so even when you can no longer use your hair, we can. We believe in being the change we want to see in the world, and setting the standards for the hair industry in doing our bit for the climate and wider global communities. 

It’s super easy to take part in our Hair Recycling Scheme. Simply grab your human hair extensions (any brand works!), neatly package them up, and secure the top to make it a breeze for our team to process. You can do this or your stylist. Here’s what to do next:

• Step 1: Email us at help@additionallengths.co.uk with the subject line "Hair Recycling".

• Step 2: We'll send you a free (UK only) return labels to send them back to us.

• Step 3: Once received, we will process the hair and send it to Matter of Trust.
